Poet Illiterate

Ambitious. Radical. Alienated. Frustrated. Depressed. Inept. Unlistenable.

Overdubbing by playing backing tracks on a cassette player through a guitar amp. Using guitar pedals in microphone feedback loops as a synthesizer. Recording vocals through a guitar amp, or singing into a recording mic, unamplified, unmonitored, during a band recording. Never quite putting together a real drum kit. Never getting past the Reefer Madness "play faster - faster!" mentality.

This is the legacy of Poet Illiterate, 1974-1987.
